AM/INTL CH Ruya Legend's Sedona Solara (Vicki)
Vicki (CH Rivercitys Nobody Beats Bart JC ROM x CH Ruya Dynasty's Legend Bonita ROM) warmed our hearts the minute we first laid eyes on her. Vicki was born February 17, 2002 and we had the pleasure of meeting her when when she was only 8 months old. We had never seen a liver-nose Rhodesian Ridgeback before and were instantly hooked with the look.
Vicki came to live with us in the summer of 2003. She easily became part of the family which included a Golden Retriever, two parrots, Paige (a precocious 11 year old) and me. Vicki taught us how to behave around a Rhodesian Ridgeback which included NEVER leaving food unattended and providing plenty of opportunities for exercise. We lived in downtown Phoenix at the time and Vicki loved walking with us in the old historic neighborhood.
Vicki completed her AKC championship in 2006 and no longer competes in the show ring. In April 2008, Vicki presented us with a beautiful litter of puppies. We are happy to report that those puppies are healthy, even-tempered, and just beautiful (5 of those 7 puppies are pictured below). Mazel Tov Kennels kept Jordan, a black-masked girl. In July 2009, Vicki again presented us with a litter, this time a small "litter" of one. Jackson, the singleton, now lives with Paige and me and the rest of the pack and loves hanging out with all of the "big guys."
